Our Story

Enlaye was founded in 2023 at the intersection of a lifelong passion for the built environment we all inhabit and a decade-long belief in the power of AI inspired by human intelligence.

Our cofounders Philippe and Stamati met in High-School in the suburbs of Saint-Germain-en-Laye (hence the name!) in France back in 2009, before pursuing college on different sides of the Atlantic. Reunited in Boston in 2021, they quickly brought their passions together, and began work on what became Enlaye after Philippe's MBA (Harvard) and Stamati's PhD (Boston University).

Enlaye is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, where we are proud to be part of the most active B2B AI hub in North America!

Philippe Rival

Cofounder & CEO

Philippe is a French-Australian civil-engineer, bridge-builder, and two-time TEDx Speaker; with a decade of hands-on Built-World experience on residential, infrastructure and transportation projects. Working for the world’s largest private contractor, VINCI Construction, Philippe has served as Project, Bid, Proposal and Structures Manager on projects including a $2.7b transit project in Ottawa, Canada, an $800m bridge project in Louisville, USA, and a $150m luxury hotel project in Paris, France.

Philippe received his MBA from Harvard Business School and his M.Eng in Civil Engineering from Imperial College London.

Stamatios Liapis PhD

Cofounder & CTO

Dr. Stamati is a leading expert in the fields of AI and Computational Neuroscience and is responsible for the development of Enlaye’s technology and state-of-the-art AI platform. With over a decade of experience at the forefront of developing AI systems inspired by human cognition, Stamati is now developing the “brain” powering Enlaye’s Risk AI for the Built-World.

Stamati received his PhD in Computational Neuroscience from Boston University's School of Medicine and his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
